THE ESSENCE OF SOUTH INDIAN CUISINE IN MILAN

The Journey of Kardmum Junction

Kardmum Junction was born from a profound desire: to bring the vibrant soul of a distant land to the heart of Milan. Our culinary offering focuses on showcasing South Indian cuisine, a vast heritage rooted in one of the world's most ancient civilizations. This journey is not just a geographical journey from the lush coasts of Malabar to the elegant streets of Milan, but rather a daily immersion in traditions handed down with devotion from generation to generation. At Kardmum Junction, we transform every meal into a sacred ritual of welcome, where flavor becomes the universal language to tell a story of love and dedication.

From Kerala to Milan: A story of passion for roots

Our story begins in Kerala, a region known worldwide as "God's Own Country." It's a place where nature explodes in a symphony of endless greenery and intoxicating aromas, where spices aren't just ingredients but cultural exchange currencies. Bringing authentic South Indian cuisine to Milan was an ambitious challenge, born from the dream of sharing the vital energy of these lands with a cosmopolitan and refined audience.

Cardamom, the "Queen of Spices," is at the heart of every one of our dishes. It perfectly embodies our culinary philosophy: a delicate balance between vivacity, subtlety, and aromatic intensity. Our meticulous search for the finest ingredients allows us to fulfill our guests' culinary desires, offering dishes that are the result of rigorous selections made directly at the source, ensuring that every flavor is a faithful reflection of the Southern plantations.

A kitchen that is inclusive by nature

South Indian cuisine, by its very origins, is one of the world's most friendly to those following special diets. At Kardmum Junction, most of our offerings are naturally vegetarian and vegan, celebrating the richness of legumes, fresh vegetables, and grains. This isn't a trendy choice, but rather a millennia-old cultural heritage that places individual well-being at its core.

Every spice used in our dishes is chosen not only for its flavor, but also for its digestive and antioxidant properties, following the principles of Ayurvedic wisdom. From immune-boosting turmeric to warming and purifying ginger, eating with us means treating your body to a healthy treat. We are proud to offer a wide selection of gluten-free dishes, ensuring every guest can be sure of a meal prepared with the utmost professional care.

A TOLL OF PERSISTENT EMOTIONS

The flavors of the menu

Just as the ringing of bells in South Indian temples continues to resonate in the soul long after they've rung, the flavors of our South Indian cuisine linger on our guests' taste buds. The delicacies we offer on our menu are comparable to the famous Kerala backwaters: precious, luminous gems that deserve to be explored slowly and curiously.

Every bite consumed at Kardmum Junction tells a true story, made of ancestral cooking techniques that challenge the clichés about the heaviness of Eastern cuisine. Ours is a cuisine of light and aroma, where the story of Kardmum Junction is only completed through sharing it with you.

Our menu is a tribute to India's biodiversity. Each dish is prepared following specific techniques to preserve the integrity of the spices.
